Foe reference:
The Double Degree program with the Chinese Northwestern Polytechnic University provides for receiving diplomas of two universities. Chinese students study at the Northwestern Polytechnic University for two years (from semester 1 to 4) and the next two years (from semester 5 to 8) at Samara University. The students, who successfully complete studies and pass the State Final Certification, get Bachelor’s Degree from both universities. The program was launched in 2019, about 50 Chinese students were selected then. They studied for the first two years at the Northwestern Polytechnic University not only mastering technical sciences but also intensively studying the Russian language. The 24 best students – the most persistent, hard-working and talented – continued their studies in Russia. Twelve of them came to Samara National Research University and the same number went to study at Kazan National Research Technical University named after A.N. Tupolev – Kazan Aviation Institute.
In September 2023, Samara University received a group of students that continued their education from the third year. There are also 12 participants in the joint Double Degree program but they chose the Institute of Engine and Power Plant Engineering for their studies.
