The Conference “Actual Issues of Mechanics” is one of the most significant scientific events aimed at exchanging experience between Russian scientists from various fields of mechanics and related sciences and representatives of industry, generating new competencies, developing new tools for solving scientific and technological problems, working out prerequisites for advanced innovative development of knowledge-intensive industries of the Russian Federation. The Conference themes covered not only most areas of mechanics, but also interdisciplinary issues, with the main focus on problems at the boundary of mechanics with other fields of science.
In 2024, the Conference “Actual Issues of Mechanics” was held for the 51st time in the unique location of Yaroslav the Wise Novgorod State University, at the Innovative Scientific and Technological Centre “Intelligent Electronics – Valdai”.
The organizers of the 51st Conference were the Russian National Committee for Theoretical and Applied Mechanics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute of Problems of Machine Science of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IPMash RAS), Yaroslav the Wise Novgorod State University, Monomax LLC. The Conference is held under patronage of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
At the Conference, Samara University was represented by:
- Aleksander Ledkov, Associate Professor at the Department of Theoretical Mechanics of Institute of Aerospace Engineering , “Investigation of Space Debris Movement Relative To the Centre of Mass During Its Transportation By Ion Flow”;
- Ruslan Pikalov, Head of the Laboratory of the Department of Theoretical Mechanics of Institute of Aerospace Engineering, “Control Over Folding the Cable System in the Elliptical Orbit”;
- Vladimir Frolov, Associate Professor at the Department of Aircraft Construction and Design of Institute of Aerospace Engineering, “The Model for Calculating Bearing Parameters of the Wing in the Two-Body Aircraft Scheme”;
· Tatyana Ledkova, Assistant at the Department of Software Systems of IIC, “Effects of Initial Conditions on the Area of Landing on the Moon Surface of the Descent Capsule During Its Separation from the Lunar Tether System”;
- Germamo Aklilu Yigezu, a postgraduate student of the Department of Aircraft Construction and Design of Institute of Aerospace Engineering, “Experimental Detection of Load-Bearing Parameters of Multi-Block Aircraft”.
Besides delivering his own report, Ruslan Pikalov took part in organizing work of the section “General and Applied Mechanics” as its chairman, where he led the section.
Our scientists presented their developments, got acquainted with the works of scientists-engineers and had fruitful communication with their colleagues from all over Russia.
