The University is among the Top 100 Universities in Russia

The RAEX Rating Agency (RAEX-Analytika) has presented a new annual survey of the best Russian universities – RAEX 100. The research goal is assessing the universities’ capabilities to provide high-quality knowledge, skills and abilities to their graduates, based on the learning environment and the application results.

In 2024, the top 100 ranking features university from 29 regions of Russia. The third place has taken by Lomonosov Moscow State University. Bauman Moscow State Technical University has risen to the second line. The third place was taken by the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. Samara University took the 45th place in the rating list.

The Samara Region is represented in the survey by three universities – Samara National Research University (45th place), Samara State Medical University (53rd place) and Samara State Technical University (73rd place).

The RAEX University rankings have been published annually since 2012. When preparing the rating list, statistical indicators, as well as the results of interviewing over 130 thousand respondents – representatives of academic and scientific societies, students and graduates, employers – were used.

The RAEX-100 Rating of Russia’s Best Universities is the integral quality assessment of the graduate student’s competencies defined by quantitative parameters of their research and development activities, and qualitative features reflecting the opinions of key reference groups: employers, representatives of academic and scientific societies, as well as students and graduates.

Statistical information includes the data from university questionnaires, research chops and the data from open sources. Universities specializing in creative or athletic fields, as well as ones of the security, defense and law enforcement agencies, cannot take part in the ranking. The share of full-time students among potential rating participants, calculated as an average value over five years, should exceed 25%.

Only the parent universities are subject to assessment, without their branches to be considered by the ranking compilers.
