The parties presented the possibilities of universities, talked about the features of the educational process, facilities and resources, and discussed areas of cooperation. In particular, the possibility of exchanging teachers and students, conducting career guidance events for schoolchildren, and implementing joint research and development.
From Samara University, Deputy Rector Ivan Tkachenko, Deputy Director of Institute of Aerospace Engineering Aleksey Alekseev, Head of the Department of Aviation Technology Operation Georgy Makaryants, Head of the Department of Aircraft Design and Engineering Andrey Boldyrev, Head of the Department of International Activities Sergey Tits, Head of the Department of International Cooperation Anton Gulbis, took part in the negotiations.
Belarusian State Aviation Academy was represented by Dean of the Faculty of Civil Aviation Zakhar Masharsky, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Civil Aviation Anatoly Staranovich, Head of the Aviation Scientific and Technical Center Sergey Stoyko, Head of the International Relations Department Alina Goncharova.
"Cooperation between Samara University and BSAA will open up additional opportunities for the development of professional competencies of students (including foreign citizens) and expand their understanding of the culture and traditions of Russia and the Republic of Belarus. In addition, we will be able to consolidate the efforts of our scientists to solve problems related to the functioning of the aviation transport system under sanctions pressure. This is extremely important to ensure the regularity and safety of flights in the airspace of the Union State," said Sergey Tits, summing up the results of the working meeting.
Signing of the cooperation agreement is planned to take place within the framework of the XI Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia, which will be held on June 27–28, 2024 in the Republic of Belarus.
