Samara University is represented at the Conference by Ivan Tkachenko, Deputy Rector, Director of IARCT, and Dmitry Antipov, Head of the Department of Aircraft Production and Quality Control in Mechanical Engineering.
The main objective of the Conference is to discuss tools for coordinating activities of Roscosmos and reference universities, identifying science-intensive and promising joint projects, as well as considering areas of activity in diversification and import substitution in the rocket industry.
On May 30, 2022, Samara University received the status of reference university of the Roscosmos State Corporation.
Leading experts of the Roscosmos State Corporation conducted a large-scale study, and assessed involvement of higher education organizations in development of the rocket and space industry. Over 60 higher education institutions engaged in training personnel for the rocket and space industry in a wide range of training areas and specialties took part in the study. As the result, 18 universities to have the greatest impact on development of educational and scientific potential of the rocket and space industry were selected. Besides universities from Moscow and St. Petersburg, they include leading higher education organizations from Korolev, Samara, Tomsk, Krasnoyarsk, Saratov, Voronezh, Perm.
The reference universities were invited to participate in the space scientific and educational innovation consortium “Constellation of Roscosmos.” Signing the respective agreement took place today in Krasnoyarsk.
The Consortium “Constellation of Roscosmos” unites leading universities of Russia, for solving advanced scientific problems of space exploration, and training highly-skilled personnel for the rocket and space industry.
