The ITF (Autumn) in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, is one of the largest trade fair events in South-Eastern Europe. Annually, more than 2,000 participants from almost 60 countries present a wide range of new technological achievements, inventions and innovative projects here.
The fair focuses on technologies in the sphere of water resources, automobile industry and car service, electronics and electrical engineering, power equipment, mechanical engineering, technology and environmental protection, information technology, building materials, equipment and technology, chemical and mining industries.
Samara University presented the development of its scientific laboratories as part of the Russian exposition. Visitors of the fair could see “AIST-2D”small Earth remote sensing spacecraft, metal rubber products, unmanned aerial vehicles, gas microchromatograph, samples of the parts made by selective laser fusion and samples of the parts made by magnetic pulse metal processing.
Samara University stand was visited by Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Bulgaria Anatoly Makarov, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Natalya Bocharova, Deputy Head of the International Cooperation Department Dmitry Evdokukhin, Head of the Public Diplomacy Department of Rossotrudnichestvo Federal Agency Konstantin Peev, Heads and Representatives of Bulgarian Universities.
The main result of the exhibition: “AIST-2D” small Earth remote sensing spacecraft received the highest award of the exhibition - a gold medal.
During the official opening of the fair, which took place on September 23, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Natalia Bocharova said that cooperation between Russia and Bulgaria continues to develop actively, coordinated funding of scientific research is being carried out, and consistent work is being done to support the interaction of Russian and Bulgarian universities and scientific organizations. There are successful examples of implementing joint educational programmes of double diplomas and a new cooperation programme in the sphere of science and education is being prepared.
Samara University Representatives took part in the business programme of the fair. In the framework of “Industry 4.0.: the Future of Production” strategic session, Head of International Department Sergey Tits shared the experience of implementing international student projects within the framework of the “learning through research” model.
Head of Exhibition and Covention Activity Centre Aleksandra Danilenko took part in the panel discussion “Request for Innovation: International Research Projects”, where she spoke about promising innovative developments of Samara University.
As part of the presentation on innovative developments of the exhibition, Associate Professor of Laser and Biotechnical Systems Department Sergey Akulov spoke about Samara University developments in the field of biomedical engineering and biophotonics. A non-invasive assessment system of blood hemoglobin concentration and a device for personal telemonitoring of the cardiorespiratory system parameters of a person were presented at the university stand.
One of the main tasks of Samara University at this exhibition is to present educational directions and scientific developments of Samara University and to transmit the research work experience of university scientists.
