On Thursday, July 12, Minister in Сharge of Education and Science of Samara Region Vladimir Pylev got acquainted with the course of the admission campaign of Samara University.
For today, more than 4 thousand applicants from 60 regions of the country have a desire to study at Samara National Research University named after academician S.P. Korolev.
The admission campaign-2018 takes place in an active mode, but in comparison with the previous ones it has changed qualitatively — Rector of Samara University Yevgeniy Shakhmatov drew the attention of mass-media to this.
"We see that the motivation of the applicants has increased — they make an informed, deliberate choice, many of them bring the originals of their documents immediately", — the Rector of Samara University emphasized. — In addition, this year we receive application forms of much more participants of the Olympiads of various levels and finalists of the All-Russian competition “Sputnik”, which our University is conducting. This means that many applicants-2018 got acquainted with Samara University while they were studying at school. The popularity of Samara University is growing  —  this is shown by the increasing number of the regions represented by our applicants".
Positive changes in the positioning of Samara University were also noted by the Minister in Charge of Education and Science of Samara Region. "It is nice to note that the number of applicants from different parts of the country is expanding. The applicants come to us from very distant regions of the Russian Federation. For instance, an applicant from Vladivostok enters Samara University, — Vladimir Pylev provided an example.— Our country is huge, and there are also National Research Universities in the Far East and in Siberia, but the graduates chose Samara University —that means a lot".
