SSAU development won the gold medal in Switzerland

The 43rd International Exhibition of Inventions took park from April 15 to April 19 in Geneva (Salon international des inventions Genève), which was attended by the authors from 45 countries of the world.
 

Over 1 thousand inventions were presented at the exhibition.
 

Russian inventors were represented by the Association “Russian House for International Scientific and Technological Cooperation” and Science and Technology Association “Technopol”.
 

Samara Aerospace University demonstrated at the exhibition “Multi-purpose magnetic pulse devices” - development of Vladimir Glushchenkov, Rinat Yusupov, Irina Belyaeva and Dmitriy Chernikov - the group of authors of the Scientific and Research Laboratory-41 of the Department of Metal Working Process.
 

The standard equipment necessary for the implementation of magnetic pulse technology: stamping, assembly, welding, and casting were presented abroad for the first time. The development includes new technical solutions, protected by the four patents of Russia.
 

Under the exhibition jury decision SSAU development was awarded a gold medal and received a special prize and its authors have got honorary diplomas.
 

According to Vladimir Glushchenkov, the expert of international jury Professor Michel Perraudin, estimating the exposure of Russian scientists noted that despite the external low-key presentation, the ideas themselves and their implementation is very original and useful.
 

“I would like to represent Russian developments on the world stage brighter and more original, - said Vladimir Glushchenkov. - For example, in the following year I would like to represent the Samara aerospace cluster separately at this forum”.
 

Professor Glushchenkov also noted a significant number of interesting technical solutions both in the service sector and in industry.
 

“The bio-automobile completely made of environmentally friendly materials, sometimes even edible, having fuel consumption 0.12 litres of fuel per 100 kilometres was especially popular with the exhibition visitors. It’s clear, that it is an exotic, but what a great direction vector of the engineering idea”! 
 

SSAU talks with the electromechanical plant (Rzhev) and a shape memory alloy plant (NiTi) were held within the framework of the exhibition. 
 

Working with these companies will allow SSAU to develop the new materials direction and to apply new alloys in the aerospace technologies.
 

The Scientific and Research Laboratory-41 also received other offers of cooperation at the exhibition, such as participation in joint programs for deep-water technologies.
