A memorandum of cooperation will be signed between the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (HKPU) and SSAU in the near future.

Kudryavtsev (the field of Electronics and Electrical Engineering), Professor A. N. Kryuchkov (the field of Vibroacoustics), A. M. Gareev, the Head of Department of Scientific Researches Support, V. V. Kovelskiy, Head of Personnel Department, visited Hong Kong at the end of January 2015.

Samara scientists were met by Vice President on Researches of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. The meeting was also attended by Professor Alex Wai, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Professor Man and Wong, Senior Manager for International Affairs.
Then SSAU delegation got acquainted with the campus organization.
In the Business House they met with Jack Louis, Project Manager for technology transfer and entrepreneurship. He spoke about the main innovations of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, among which there are the non-contact 3D-Analyzer for scoliosis and spine condition, spectrographs.
The next meeting was devoted to analysis of the promising areas of cooperation, including in particular exchange of students, postgraduates and teachers for human resource development, as the foundation for a successful inter-university cooperation. The meeting was conducted by Professor Angelina Yuen, Vice President on Institutional Improvement and Partnership of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Leading specialists of the Engineering Faculty discussed prospects of scientific cooperation with SSAU representatives in the course of the roundtable.
The second day was devoted to meetings with the research focus groups at the Engineering Faculty of HKPU, during which they discussed the issues of cooperation in the fields of vibroacoustics and sound insulation, biomedicine and radio engineering.
In the Investigation Centre of Aviation Service Dr. Stephen O'Brien shared his experience with the Boeing Corporation in creation of metrological accuracy applications for nonlinear surfaces transfer onto the linear.
At the briefing dedicated to the work plan preparation for the near future, the parties have identified signing of the joint memorandum of cooperation as the main task.
This document will provide initiation of personnel exchange and formation of proposals for collaborative researches.
Return visits of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University delegations to SSAU are scheduled for March and May 2015.
