European Chamber of Science and Industry has published a rating of higher education institutions Academic Ranking of World Universities-European Standard ARES-2014.
According to the study, Samara State Aerospace University was assigned the index BBB + (reliable quality of teaching and research activities and demand for graduates by employers). SSAU took the 29th place among the top 100 Russian universities.

Higher education institutions were ranked on a ten-point grading scale of the international system. The universities were divided into the following categories: A (AAA, AA +, AA, A +, A) - high quality of teaching and research activities and demand for graduates by employers, B (BBB +, BBB, BB +, BB, B +) - reliable quality, C (CCC +, CCC, CC +, CC, C +, C) - adequate quality.
ARES rating is being hold by the European Union standards. Upon its drawing up, the analysts take into account such factors as scientific activities, international cooperation, demand for graduates, informational support, level of advanced training of academic teaching staff, their international recognition and membership in European Academies of Sciences, awards issued by the departments of the European Chamber of Commerce and the European Commission, interaction with employers.
It is to be recalled that SSAU included among the 15 leading Russian universities that received government support to improve competitiveness and promote the top 100 international rankings. Samara State Aerospace University was able to significantly improve its position during the implementation of competitive growth program.
In the summer of 2014 SSAU was included in the rating QS Top Universities "BRICS 2014" for the first time. The University joined the group of universities, ranked in the 151-200 lines of the rating.
In addition, Samara State Aerospace University was able to significantly improve its position in the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities (Webometrics). From February to August 2014 SSAU rose immediately to 1267 positions and took the 2518th place.
In 2014, SSAU rose in the national rating of Russian universities from the 30th to the 23th line. Furthermore, Samara State Aerospace University entered the top twenty universities of Russia on demand for graduates by employers.
