A regional stage of the International Olympics on the history of aviation and aeronautics named after A. F. Mozhaiskiy was hold in media centre. It was attended by first-year students of SSAU and pupils of Sergievsk Educational Centre, Aviation Lyceum No. 135 (Samara), Samara International Aerospace Lyceum.

E.V. Shakhmatiov Rector of SSAU welcomed the future engineers-aeronauts. Professor of the Department of airplanes design of Moscow Aviation Institute, S. V. Kuvshinov, Director of International Institute of New Educational Technologies, Russian State University for the Humanities, S. V. Gvozdev, Executive Vice President of non-profit partnership “Aviation Workers Club” were the honoured guests.

The participants presented their reports in two sections: history of aviation and aeronautics and astrophysics. Young people are interested in topics such as innovative schemes of aircrafts, future of ornithopters, creation of artificial gravity, as well as interplanetary travel to Titan, asteroid Eros.
