The XIII International Summer Space School “From Mission to Nanosatellite Design” will be held at Samara National Research University on 19 June to 1 July.Students at institutions of higher education and young specialists in the field of cosmonautics are invited to participate. The summer school is timed to coincide with, and to commemorate, the 60th anniversary of the launch of Sputnik-1 and the 75th anniversary of the founding of Samara University, formerly known as Samara State Aerospace University.
Participants can expect a two-week course of study focusing on the fundamentals of nanosatellite design and construction.Summer school organizers - Samara National Research University, Progress Rocket Space Center, and the Volga Regional Branch of the Russian Academy of Cosmonautics named after K.E. Tsiolkovsky.The summer school is being held with the support of the Administrative Committee for Space Education at the International Astronautical Federation (IAF), as well as the Samara Division of the University Space Engineering Consortium (UNISEC).
